GŪD Retreats ("GŪD Retreats," "GŪD Essence," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through gudretreats.com and our retreats and events, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to plan your experience and stay in touch — and we never sell your data.

Information we collect

We collect information in a few ways:

• Information you give us — your name, email address, phone number, the details you share when you express interest in or register for a retreat, messages you send through our contact form, and (if you create an account) your login credentials.
• Information collected automatically — basic, privacy-respecting usage analytics such as the pages you visit, general device and browser type, and approximate region. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
• Payment information — when booking and payments open, card details are handled directly by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Plan, deliver, and improve our retreats, events, and the website
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Send you transactional messages (registration confirmations, account verification) and — only if you opt in — retreat news and early-access updates
• Keep our services secure and comply with our legal obligations

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate — for example, email delivery, website hosting and content delivery, and privacy-first analytics — and only to the extent they need it to perform their work for us. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our guests.

Email & communications

Transactional emails (such as registration confirmations and account verification) are part of the service. Marketing emails are optional — every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Cookies & analytics

We use a minimal set of cookies needed for the site to function and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell analytics data.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and maintain our relationship with you, and thereafter only as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see "Your choices").

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any issues.

Children's privacy

Our website and retreats are intended for adults. Retreats are limited to guests aged 21 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

International retreats & data transfer

Our retreats take place in various locations, including outside the United States (for example, Medellín, Colombia). If you register for an international retreat, your information may be processed in the United States and shared with local partners as needed to deliver the experience.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
